Here are some comments of former foreign students who have improved their careers as professionals in Japan after graduating from various courses at Tokyo Foreign Language College run by TKG.
There were many foreign companies in my hometown and I admired the interpreters who mediated communication between different languages. The junior college I was studying at had a system for sending students to Japan, so I applied and came to Japan.
I studied at the Business Japanese Course of the 2year diploma program at Tokyo Foreign Language College. Among my classmates from China, Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong, I was the only one from Vietnam. Because of this, I had more opportunities to talk in Japanese with my classmates, and I stayed at school with them after class to study hard together. As I was interested in the interpreting profession, I liked business manners, business practice and business documents the most among the classes.
At present, I am a full-time Vietnamese interpreting staff at TFLC, renewing visas for international students, guiding their daily life, career guidance and assisting teachers. I am very interested in my current job and enjoy my life every day.
I have been in Japan since 2014. The main reasons for me to choose this country as an education destination are the quality of education, its culture and the sense of security.
Within the priority of studying in Japan and learning something better. I enrolled in TFLC in 2016 for ‘Global Communication course’. Here I had the opportunity to learn the language used in Japanese companies and to improve my business and communication skills in Japanese. I was also able to become familiar with computer work in Japanese.
I am currently working for ‘sales operations’ at the Japanese branch of an American clothing company running popular fashion brands. I am responsible for communicating and doing business with customers from various nations. The skills I learnt in TFLC have helped me progress well in my job. For this, I will always be grateful to TFLC and the teaching staff there.
I am currently working and living in Tokyo, Japan. I chose Japan because being an engineer, the technology which is there in every aspect in Japan fascinated me. Also, I was interested to learn the work style in Japan which is quite detail oriented hence the services and products offered are close to perfect. I started working amidst the corona virus situation but my company has been really supportive taking measures like work from home, etc. for our safety. I studied Japanese language in India and continued my studies in TFLC Japanese Language Course.
TFLC gave me more exposure to language as all the students and teachers communicate in Japanese. Even that short period made me grow a lot and I wish I could study more there. I made friends from other countries and the benefit was that coming from different countries, Japanese was our common language of communication so it was good for practice. We used to celebrate Japanese festivals and classes had interesting activities which gave us knowledge about Japan as a whole and not just bookish knowledge.
